Praha zažije poslední představení z cyklu NT Live v této sezóně. Na programu bude opravdová lahůdka, záznamy obou inscenačních variant veleúspěšné hry Frankenstein, kterou Danny Boyle zrežíroval na scéně londýnského Národního divadla. Hlavní protagonisté Benedict Cumberbatch a Jonny Lee Miller, kteří se prostřídali v obou hlavních rolích, si právem zasloužili nejcennější hereckou trofej Oliver Award.
Frankenstein Dannyho Boylea, vůbec nejúspěšnější představení loňské sezóny National Theatre v Londýně, se vrací na plátna kin. Nevšední ohlas a neutuchající žádosti diváků přinutily londýnskou produkci přidat do programu letošní sezóny přenosů NT Live záznam loňského trháku.
Představení Frankenstein mělo v Londýně premiéru 5. února 2011. Hrálo se v největším sále National Theatre – Olivier Theatre – do 2. května 2011 a po celou dobu bylo vyprodané. V rámci NT Live pak v březnu 2011 obě verze vidělo více než 100 000 diváků po celém světě.
Inscenace získala mnoho ocenění včetně toho nejcennějšího hereckého – Olivier Award pro nejlepší herce – Benedicta Cumberbatche a Jonny Lee Millera.
Režie se ujal oscarový tvůrce Danny Boyle, proslulý zejména svými filmy Trainspotting , Pláž nebo Milionář z chartče . Připravil pro oba herce zvláštní úkol a hereckou výzvu – nastudoval s každým z nich obě titulní role – Viktora Frankensteina i Monstrum, tedy Stvořitele i Stvořeného, a nechal je střídavě role alternovat. Na vzájemné nevyhnutelné přitažlivosti, na osudovém propojení, na nechtěném zrcadlení jednoho v druhém postavil Boyle princip celé inscenace.
Ta je pak dokonalou souhrou všech divadelních složek. Scénář Nicka Deara je veskrze současný, z gotické děsuplné novely Mary Shelly se na jevišti stává příběh člověka krutě se konfrontujícího s odpovědností za sebe a své činy. Ohromující steam-punková výprava Marka Tildesleyho, kouzelné svícení Bruna Poety, herecké výkony a v neposlední řadě i hudba taneční skupiny Underworld vytváří na scéně kompaktní, sevřený a výjimečný divadelní var.

Theatre hit Frankenstein, directed by Danny Boyle and music soundtrack band Underworld record the Atlas cinema in London
18th and 25 experiences in Prague in June last performance of NT Live series this season. The program will be a real treat, the records of both variants of highly successful staging games Frankenstein, directed by Danny Boyle on the stage of London's National Theatre. Directed by Oscar-winning creator Danny Boyle, is especially famous for his films Trainspotting, Beach or chartče Millionaire. Prepared for the specific task of both actor and acting challenge - he studied with each of them both the title role - Victor Frankenstein and the monster is the Creator and created, and let them turn to alternate roles.
